Bible Prophecy As Studied by: Rev. Ronnie L. Wolford, Pastor
The Pentecostal Tabernacle
In Jesus Name

Below are outlined studies of the Endtime that I use as talking points in my weekly Bible Studies. Each study has been recorded on one hour cds. This is a study on the subject of Bible Prophecy as I understand it, and interpret scripture. My understanding and teachings are as follows. In short, I believe the scriptures supports the teaching of a seven year Tribulation Period, in which the Lord will return to the Nation of Israel, to lift the blindness that has happened to them as a result of their rejection of Jesus as Messiah. When Israel rejected Jesus, he blinded them in part, at which time he turned to the Gentile Nations to take out them a people for his name. This dispensational change began after Acts chapter two and in Acts chapter ten, when the door of salvation was opened to the household of Cornelius, a Gentile centurion. This time period is known in scripture as " The Times of the Gentiles " This period will end with the Rapture of the Church, which will be a Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Immediately following the Rapture of the Church, the Anit-Christ will be revealed and usher in the Great Tribulation Period lasting seven years. It will be during this time that the Lord will return back to the Nation of Israel, their eyes will be opened and they will receive Jesus as their Messaih. During this time Israel will be greatly persecuted by the Anit-Christ when he takes control of Jerusalem. He will set himself up as God, in the Temple of God, commanding that they ( Israel ) worship him as God. This will bring about the Battle of Armageddon, the Return of the Lord and the redemption of Israel. At the conclusion of these seven years of Great Tribulation, there will be a one thousand year reign on Earth with Jesus Christ with his Raptured Bride and Redeemed Israel, before entering into Eternity. This is just a very brief over view of how that I understand, and interpret scripture on the subject of Eschatology.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 1:

 The Introduction:

A. Question: What is prophecy? A Hebrew word that means: A prediction, written or spoken.

It's Greek meaning is: A discourse emanating from divine inspiration in declaring the purpose

of God whether by reproving or admonishing the wicked or comforting the afflicted, or

revealing things hidden especially by foretelling future events.

  1. Question: Does scripture support these meanings? Yes .

  2. 1st Cor. 14:1-3 . speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

B. Question: What is Eschatology? The branch of Theology that studies End Time Prophecy.

End Time Prophecy covers a span of time to date of six thousands years.

  1. Question: Why is Bible Prophecy important? Prophecy foretells the destiny of humanity and

      the end of the world.

C. Question: Where do we find the first prophecy given in scripture?

  1. Gen. 3:1-24 It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

  2. Question: When was this prophecy fulfilled? At the birth and death of Jesus, approximately

      four thousand years later.

D. Can Bible Prophecy be altered or changed? No, why?

  1. Ps. 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

E. Question: Did the Lord plan all things before the creation? Yes

  1. Acts 15:13-18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

  2. Matt. 13:33-35 . kept secret from the foundation of the world.

  3. 1st Peter 1:18-20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world.

  4. Eph. 1:1-14 Having predestinated us ...

F. Conclusion: Eschatology which is the branch of theology that studies the End Time

according to Bible Prophecy has already been predetermined by God himself and

cannot be changed. In God's preordained plan from the foundation of the world, he gave

man the power of choice as to salvation, even though he knows what decision that we will

make. It is clear as to what happened in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve that they

clearly had a choice, and by choice they choose to sin, yet God created them knowing

what choice that they would make.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 2

The Origin of Sin

A.  In order to understand bible prophecy and its conclusion, we need to go back to the beginning of the creation of man

and before to the origin of sin. The world's end will be a result of the world's sin.

B.  Question: Where did sin originate?

1.      Ezek. 28:1-19  In these passages of scripture, the Lord is speaking to both man, the prince of Tyrus and Satan who was

the anointed cherub that caused him to sin, also revealing to us the origin of sin, which was found in Lucifer before the creation of man.

2.      Isa. 14:12-17 Isaiah is describing the fall of Lucifer, the reason for his fall and his end. The result of Lucifer's sin was his fall from

heaven, this doesn't mean that he had a home in heaven and was booted out of that place. Lucifer's throne was not in heaven by the

very fact that he said " I will ascend into heaven " It means he lost his original position, his first estate. He went from being the anointed

cherub his first estate to the great red dragon, the serpent, the devil.

3.      Jude 1:5-6 And the angels which kept not their first estate: First Estate means: First place, principality, or rule. First place as in position,

or authority or rule. Lucifer lost his position or rule that he had with God, and that is what was meant by the statement " neither was their

place found anymore in heaven " in Revelation 12:8

C.  Question: What was the result of Lucifer's sin?  He was cast out of heaven meaning he left

his first estate, he lost his first position, power and rule. He still has access in and out of

heaven that is supported by his approaching God in Job 1:6

1.      Rev. 12:1-17  First we must understand that this chapter is not in chronological order with the first eleven chapters or with the last ten

chapters, in fact this book could have ended in chapter eleven. Chapter twelve is an introduction chapter to the rest of Revelation chapters

thirteen through twenty two laying a foundation of a deeper study of this prophecy of what has already been taught in chapters six through

eleven. Chapter twelve is past prophecies.

D.  Question: Was Satan completely stripped of his power after his fall? No

1.      2nd Cor. 4:1-4  . he is the god of this world

2.      Eph. 2:1-2  he is the prince of the power of the air.

3.      Note: Satan still has power, however limited as to what he can do.

E.     What will be the end result of Lucifer's sin? The same as man.

1.     Rev. 20:1-10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and false prophet are, and

shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Bible Prophecy Study # 3 ------------- The Origin of Sin: Part 2

Does The Scriptures Suggest A Pre-Adamite World?

A. Explain the Pre-Adamite theory. The Pre-Adamite teaching is that there existed a

World before Adam with living creatures, plant life and etc. It is believed

that after the original creation, that this world was destroyed and came to a

catastrophic end. It is believed that Lucifer ruled over this world at that time and when

he rebelled, that his rebellion brought about the end of the world. It is believed that this

happened between verses one and two of the book of Genesis. It is believed that the first

creation occurred in verse one and was destroyed between verses one and two and that

approximately four and half billion years passed between these two verses.

B. First, let us review what is believed to have brought about the first world's destruction.

  1. Ezek. 28:11-19 The fall of the anointed cherub later identified as Lucifer.

  2. Isa. 14:12-17 Lucifer's fall as a result of his pride.

  3. Question: Was the fall of Lucifer witnessed? Yes

    a. Luke 10:18 I beheld Satan as lighting fall from heaven.  Jesus witnessed the fall of Satan.

C. Now let us study the Pre-Adamite theory to see what is fact and what is theory.

  1. Gen. 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. It is believed that

this is the first creation and that earth was created beautiful and to be inhabited.

  2. Verse 2: And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness; It is believed that as a

result of Lucifer's rebellion that God destroyed this world at that time.

  3. Question: Did God created this earth in the beginning, without form and void?

   a. Isa. 45:18 . he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited. Clearly in verse two

the description of earth is vain and void and un-inhabitable contrary to verse 18

   b. Note: This could be the first suggestion of a Pre-Adamite world.

D. Question: How many times has this earth been flooded? From the time of Adam to now,

only once, but the question is, was there a global flood before Adam?

  1.   2nd Peter 2:1-8 Could the old world here be the Pre-Adamite world? Could be .

2.      2nd Peter 3:1-8 It is assumed that Peter was referring to Noah's flood, but was he?

3.      Gen. 1:1-23 It is clear that earth was indeed completely covered by water once before, the

question is, was it caused by destruction or by creation? Reference Isa. 45:18

  4.   Note: This could be the second suggestion of a Pre-Adamite World.

E. The third suggestion:

  1.   Gen. 1:26-31 Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth. The word replenish appears

        only twice in scripture.

4.      Gen. 9:1 And God said to Noah and his sons . Be fruitful and multiply and replenish .

5.      Note: Replenish in Hebrew means: To Fill: In English it means: To Fill Again: It would

seem that the scripture defines replenish as to fill again.

F. The fourth suggestion:

  1. Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. We know that whether or

not this was the first or second creation, that there is for sure going to be another creation.

  2. Isa. 65:17     Isa. 66:22     2nd Peter 3:13     Rev. 21:1     . new heavens and new earth.

  3. Note: The suggestion here is, if there is going to be a destruction of heaven and earth, why

would it seem strange that it has happened before.

  4. Eccl. 1:9-10 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be .

Bible Prophecy: Study # 4 ---------------------- The Origin of Sin: Part 3

What Does Hell Have To Do With The Pre-Adamite World?

A. Explain the Pre-Adamite theory.

B. Question: What does Hell have to do with the Pre-Adamite world? The fact that hell

was created before Adam and this world as we now know it.

  1. Hell is from the Hebrew word Sheol that means: The underworld: Wicked people are

sent there for punishment.     Pit means: A prison or dungeon.

  2. Hell in Greek means: The infernal regions, a dark and dismal place in the very heart of the

      depths of the earth.

  3. Grave many times in scripture comes from the word Sheol, meaning Hell or underworld.

  4. Question: Is there a scriptural definition for hell? Yes .

   a. Ezek. 32:17-18  . the nether parts of the earth. ( Hell )

   b. Matt. 12:40 . heart of the earth.    Heart meaning, the middle or central, inmost part.

   c. Note: It is clear that hell is not on earth, but inside the earth. When referring to hell in

scripture, the reference is down to hell, and up to heaven.

C. Question: Does the scriptures tell us who hell was specifically created for? Yes .

  1. Matt. 25:41 . prepared for the devil and his angels.    Without a doubt Pre-Adam.

D. Question: Does the scriptures teach that hell existed before Adam? Yes .

  1. Isa. 14:12-17 Thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

  2. Ezek. 31:1-8 A reference to Satan's fall and being cast into the nether parts.( Hell )

  3. Ezek. 32:7-8 I will cover the heaven and make the stars thereof dark .

  4. 2nd Pet. 2:1-4 . but cast them down to hell.

  5. Jude 1:5-7 . hath he reserved in everlasting chains.

  6. Note: Two things mention here: Darkness and Fire.

E. Let us read of Hell as it is referred to now.

  1. Matt. 8:12 . cast into outer darkness.   Hell is a place of outer darkness.

  2. Mark 9:43-48 . into the fire that shall never be quenched.

F. Question: Why are the words Darkness and Fire relevant to the Pre-Adamite theory?

  1. Gen. 1:1-2 . and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Ezekiel 32 earth made dark.

  2. Note: If indeed this world was destroyed between verses 1 and 2, then this world was

made Outer Darkness, which refers to the state of hell.

  3. What is at the earth's core? A molten liquid, burning at a temperature of approximately

9,000 degrees Fahrenheit. This has been scientifically proven.

Conclusion: As to the Pre-Adamite theory, the scriptures do somewhat suggest a Pre-Adamite

World, the theory is that God created the heaven and earth in verse 1 of Genesis, then destroyed it between verse 1 and 2 as a result

of Satan's rebellion. At this time when the earth was destroyed, which is believed to be the place of Lucifer's throne. It would suggest

that this earth was turned into hell, a place of Outer Darkness, its core a burning molten liquid where the angels that left their first

estate are reserved in chains of darkness. Is this theory a clear biblical proven fact? No, but it is suggestive and could have been.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 5

The Origin ofIsrael

A.     We have been studying the Origin of Sin, now let us study the Origin of one of the most important people on earth, Israel . Bible prophecy is

centered around the nation of Israel and despite what a lot of prophecy teachers teach, there is still Jew and Gentile, and prophecy must be

studied in that light to get the correct interpretation.

B.       Question: Who are the people that are referred to as Israel? And what is their Origin.

1.      Gen. 12:1-5  Their origin began with Abram.

C.      Question: Would all the seed of Abraham be Israel? No .

1.      Gen. 17:1-27  Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant. Only the seed of Abram through Isaac would become

Israel, also referred to as Jews.

2.      Note: Question: Was Isaac a Jew? No, no more than Abraham was, the Jewish nation was established with Jacob, Isaac's son. They were Hebrews

but not Jews, neither the covenant made with Abraham or circumcision made one a Jew, if so Ishmael would have been Jewish because Ishmael

was as much a son of Abraham as Isaac was and was circumcised.

D.     Question: Who was the promise seed of Isaac? Jacob

1.      Gen. 25:19-34  . the elder shall serve the younger. The covenant was with the younger.

E.      Question: When was the Jewish nation of Israel established?

1.      Gen. 32:1-32  Thy name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel: It is here that the Jewish nation of Israel was established. Even though Abraham,

Isaac, Ishmael, and Esau were circumcised and all one seed, they were not Jews. Both Ishmael and Esau were blessed being the seeds of Abraham,

but neither was of the Promise Seed. There are approximately 325 million Arabs and only 13.5 million Jews today according to some studies.

If Abraham's name had been changed to Israel than all of his seed would be Israel including Ishmael and Esau.

F.       Question: Who are the people that make up the Jewish Nation of Israel? The twelve sons of Jacob ( Israel ). Names: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah,

Zebulun, Issachar, Dan, Gad, Asher, Napthtali, Joseph, and Benjamin.

1.      Gen. 49:28-33  All these are the twelve tribes of Israel also referred to as Jews.

G.     Question: Who are the people that are not of the natural seed of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob? Gentiles .

1.      Isa. 49:5-6  I will also give thee for a light unto the Gentiles. Any nations of people that are not the direct descendants of Jacob are Gentiles.

Up until the Lord changed Jacob's name to Israel, all nations were Gentiles.

2.      Gen. 10:1-5 . by these were the isles of the gentiles divided in their lands.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 6    The Origin of Israel: Part 2

The Identity of the Jew

A. Last week we touched on the subject of the Jewish Identity and its origin, and the question,

who are the Jews? The tribe of Judah or all of Israel . First, let us say, that the exact point of

origin is not known, the term Jew just seems to appear in reference to the tribe of Judah.

1.      2nd Kings 16:1-6 It appears that the term is in reference to the tribe of Judah here.

2.      Jeremiah 52:27-34 Here the term is applied to the Kingdom of Judah and the captives taken by Nebuchadnezzar into Babylon . They are called

      Jews.

3.      Note: When you read the books of Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, and Daniel the same reference is made to the captives in Babylon , they are referred

      to as Jews.

B. Question: Was Judah the only tribe taken into captivity in Babylon ? If not, then the theory of

only the tribe of Judah being Jews don't hold true, because all of the captives are called Jews.

  1. 1st Kings 12:20-24 The tribe of Benjamin is allied with Judah , making two tribes in Judah .

Benjamin becomes part of the Southern Kingdom and is part of the captivity in Babylon . At

this point we have at least two different tribes being called Jews. Judah and Benjamin.

C. Question: Were there any other people of any other tribe in Judah at that time? Yes

  1. 2nd Chro. 11:1-17 People of other tribes ally with Judah , the Levites by name.

  2. 2nd Chro. 15:1-9 Now we see people from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon in Judah.

  3. Note: Now we have people from six different tribes that make up the Kingdom of Judah.

Judah , Benjamin, Levy, Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon.

D. Question: Were there remnants of these tribes in Judah at the time to the captivity? Yes

  1. Ezra 2:1-2 First proof, Ezra was a Levite and the people are referred to as Israel.

  2. Ezra 6:1-22 Ezra makes it clear that it wasn't just the tribe of Judah that was taken captive,

but remnants of all the tribes of Israel that were in Judah at this time, six by name and that

these people were referred to as Jews, Israel and the children of the captivity. One in the same..

  3. Ezra 8:35 all Israel.     Ezra 10:1 out of Israel.

  4. Neh. 6:1-6 The enemies of Israel call them Jews.

  5. Neh. 9:1-4 The people here are called Israel, showing that the Jews and Israel are the same.

E. Conclusion: It is clear that it wasn't just the tribe of Judah that was referred to as Jews, but

all of Israel according to this study of the Old Testament. At the time of the divided kingdoms

referred to as the Northern Kingdom made up of ten tribes and the Southern Kingdom made up of

two tribes that there were remnants of the Northern Ten Tribes that did ally and

become part of the Southern Kingdom known as Judah . Judah was no longer a tribe of his

descendants but a nation made up of remnants of at least four other tribes, Levy, Ephraim,

Manasseh, and Simeon with Benjamin and Judah totaling six by name and that is the reason

that the term Jew applies not only to Judah but to all of Israel . The New Testament also teaches

the same as the Old Testament.

 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Bible Prophecy: Study # 7       The Origin of Israel: Part 3

The Identity of the Jew

A. In our last study we established that there were at some point in time people of the other ten

tribes of Israel that had joined the Southern Kingdom of Judah, people from the tribes of Levi,

Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon with Benjamin and Judah already being there. Showing that

there were other people of the tribes of Israel that were referred to as Jews. Now to study the

New Testament teachings concerning the Identity of the Jews. We must understand also, that

when Israel was scattered as prophesied, that there were always a remnant of Jews left in Israel,

Jerusalem in particular in the land of Judah.

B. Matt. 2:1-2 Here is where the tem Jews first appears in New Testament scripture, referring to

Jesus as being the King of the Jews.

  1. Point: Was Jesus only the King of Judah, which would be true by this statement if only the tribe

Judah were Jews, but this is not true Jesus is King of all Israel . By the time of the New

Testament, the term Jews was a common term used in reference to Israel.

  2. Mark 15:1-13 Jesus is being referred to as the King of the Jews by Pilate.

  3. Point: If Jesus was only the King of Judah, being a Jew, the difference was never made by the

Priest, who were most likely Levites nor the people, suggesting that the term referred to them all.

  4. John 1:10-19 Did Jesus only come to the tribe of Judah ? No .

  5. John 2:12-22 The Jews Passover.  Passover was a Levitical law for all Israel.

  6. John 7:1-2 Now Jews feast of Tabernacles.

  7. John 19:38-42 Jews preparation .

  8. Note: It is clear that the term Jews' Passover, Feast of Tabernacles and Preparation was not for

one tribe only but for all Israel.

  9. Gal. 1:13-14 Jews religion, meaning all Israel.

  10. John 4:9-22 Jesus said: Salvation is of the Jews. To believe that Jews were only the tribe of

Judah would mean that Jesus was saying that Salvation is of the tribe of Judahonly.

C. Question: Was it only Judah that was scattered to every nation or all Israel?

  1. Acts 2:1-6 Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Clearly people from the

Northern Kingdom of Israel that had be scattered abroad as prophesied, were called Jews.

  2. Lev. 26:27-33 I will scatter you among the heathen.  Same people, Israel.

D. Other scriptures that show that the term Jew and Israel is referring to the same people.

  1. John 18:31-35 . thine own nation. It was

  2. Romans 2:9-11 Jew and Gentile, clearly making reference to two classes of people.

E. Question: Was there anyone of another tribe other than Judah referred to as being a Jew?

  1. Acts 21:39-40 Paul clearly refers to himself as being a Jew from Tarsus, modern day Turkey.

  2. Romans 11:1-11 Paul was of the tribe of Benjamin. Jesus told the Samaritan women that

Salvation was of the Jews, but here he is referring to the nation of Israel.

G. Question: Were there other tribes called by name in Jerusalem ? Yes .

  1. Acts 4:36 Levy          Luke 2:36-39 Aser or Asher          Also Judah and Benjamin

F. Question: Has ten of the tribes of Israel been lost? No, scattered yes, but not lost.

  1. Rev. 7:1-8 Clearly the identity of the Jews has not been lost. After studying the Old and New

Testaments it is clear that the term Jew, Jews and Jewish is referring to all Israel.

A. In our last study we studied what the Church was built upon, which is Revelation.

 1. Matt. 16:13-20 The Revelation of who Jesus is.

B. Question: What was the purchased price for the Church?

 1. Matt. 26:24-30 For this is my blood in the New Testament, which is shed for many

     for the remission of sins.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 13

The Prophecy of the History of the Nation of Israel

A.     Question: Where did the name Israel come from?

 1.   Gen. 32:24-32  Thy name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel .

B.      Question: What is the greatest controversy in the Middle East today? Land and who has the right to it. Israel claims it and so do the Palestinians.

1.      Gen. 12:1-7  Unto thy seed will I give this land.

C.      Question: Why is the history of Israel a great sign of the end time today?

  1.   Zech. 12:1-14 I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone to all people .

2.      God made an everlasting covenant with Abraham and his seed through Isaac forever and God cannot break his covenant. He promised to bless

them if they kept his commandments, which they did not do, and because of their disobedience they were Scattered, this is why the Scattering and Gathering together of Israel is one of the greatest signs of the end time.

D.     Now let us study some scriptures showing this prophecy.

1.      Lev. 26:13-33  . and I will scatter you among the nations.

a.       Question: When did the scattering begin? When the Assyrians invaded the ten northern tribes of Israel about 130 years before Nebuchadnezzar

invaded Jerusalem and continued during the time of Jesus.

b.      Luke 21:20-24  Jesus is prophesying of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem and the scattering into the Southern Kingdom of Judah and

that this would continue until the time of the end and that Jerusalem would remain in the control of the Gentiles until the end.

c.       Question: When would this prophecy be fulfilled?  When Israel would be gathered back together as a nation and take back control of Jerusalem.

d.      Ezek. 11:14-17  . I will even gather you from among the people.

E.      Question: When did this happen? On May 14, 1948 the children of Israel had migrated back to their homeland and declared themselves a state.

Jesus said that this would happen in the generation of his return. But this is just part of the prophecy, the second part is that Jerusalem would be

trodden down of the Gentiles or that the Gentiles would have control of Jerusalem, but Israel would gain control of Jerusalem again before the

        end.

1.      Question; When did this happen? Beginning on June 5th, going through the 10th in 1967, in a six-day war, Israel took back control of Jerusalem.

Bible Prophecy Study # 14

The Prophecy of the History of the Nation of Israel

The Fig Tree

A. Matt. 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the Fig Tree .

1.      Question: What was meant by this parable?  First let us examine the Fig Tree.

2.      The fig tree is one of the more frequently mentioned trees in the Scriptures. It was from its leaves that Adam and Eve made their first covering (Gen. 3:7).

The fig tree was valued first of all for its delicious, sweet fruit (Judges 9:11). It was also a symbol of prosperity and security: "and Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree" (1 Kings 4:25). It was an enjoyable thing to rest, meditate on God's word, and pray in the shade

of the fig tree. (John 1:48)

B. Question: What are some of the symbolic meanings of the Fig Tree?

 1.  Luke 13:6-9 Here the Fig Tree has two possible symbolisms. First: The unfruitful

      Christian that bears no fruit.

2.      Luke 3:8-9  Every tree that bringeth forth not good fruit is hewn down.

 3.  Second: The Nation of Israel.  Turn back to:

 4.  Luke 13:6-9  Read and explain.

 5.  John 1:10-12 The Vineyard is the world and the Fig Tree is Israel. He came unto his

own and his own received him not. His ministry to Israel was 3 and ½ years. In the

parable he seeks Israel for 3 years and they are not converted. The man request that

he leave it alone this year, which is actually six months. In Matthew 21 he visits the

Fig Tree again and for the last time.

 6.  Matt. 21:17-22  The Fig Tree had three years to produce fruit and failed, it is given

another chance to produce. At the end of his ministry he comes by the Fig Tree again

it is still barren and he curses it, this is symbolic of Israel's rejection of him the curse is

he blinds them until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. They make the statement,

how soon is the Fig Tree withered. Some thirty years later Jerusalem is invaded by

Titus the Roman General in 70 AD. The temple is destroyed and the Jews around

Jerusalem and Judah were dispersed as prophesied, but that is not the end of the Fig Tree.

C. Matt. 24:32-34 Now back to the parable of the Fig Tree. It is believed that this is

still the same day that Jesus cursed the Fig Tree in chapter 21 and he makes a

prophetic prophecy concerning this Fig Tree which is Israel that it will bud again and it

did, on May 14th , 1948 the prophecy was fulfilled sixty years ago. This is a clear prophecy

of the rebirth of the nation of Israel after the prophecy of their being scattered and

gathered together again at the time of the end.

D. Question: Are there other scriptures that teach that the Fig Tree represents Israel?

1.      Hosea 9:10 . in the Fig Tree.

2.      Jere. 24:4-10  Like these good figs .

Bible Prophecy Study # 15

The Prophecy of the History of the Nation of Israel

The Fig Tree Generation

A. In our last study, we studied the parable of The Fig Tree, which represents the

Nation of Israel and how that he used parables in his prophesies concerning them.

In Luke 13:6-9, Matthew 21:17-22, and Matthew 24:32-34 He came to them.

In chapter 13 he seeks them for 3 years and then the vineyard dresser ask him to

give them the rest of the year which was 6 months, fulfilling his 3 ½ year ministry.

In chapter 21 of Matthew he curses them and in chapter 24 he prophesies that they

will bud or bloom again and they did on May 14th , 1948.

B. Matt. 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree .

 1.  Verse 34: Verily I say unto you this generation shall not pass till all these things be fulfilled.

C. Question: What is the significance of the phase " This Generation "? It is a phase that

has been debated since Jesus made it. End Time date setters has used it for years trying to

determine the exact date of the coming of the Lord.

D. Question: Can the exact date of the Coming of the Lord be revealed? No .

 1.  Matt. 24:36-42 But of that day and hour knoweth no man .

 2.  The exact date or hour cannot be determined, but the generation can, in fact, that was the

purpose of the giving of the signs of the end time, but there is a great controversy, and that

is The Fig Tree Generation given that the parable of the Fig Tree represents Israel becoming

a Nation in what is believed to be the End Time Generation.

E. Question: What is the controversy? The length of time of a Generation, that is the age

old question that has been debated and debated, so we will examine the scriptures to

see what the Bible says about the length of a Generation. According to prophecy teachers

there are at least 5 given lengths for a Generation in the Bible.

 1. First: And most common is the 40 year theory.

  a. Num. 32:13 . and he made them wonder in the wilderness forty years until all the

generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was consumed. Many use this

statement as proof of a generation being 40 years. But that presents a problem, if Israel

becoming a nation in 1948, that means the end would have been in 1988 and the same

problem with the 1967 date of Israel taking back control of Jerusalem, a 2007 end.

 2. Second: Is that a Generation is 60 years.

  a. Num. 32:6-12 Some add these 20 years to the 40 as proof that a Generation is 60 years,

putting the end to May 14th , 2008 which is past already.

 3.  Third: That a Generation is either 70 or 80 years.

  a. Ps. 90:10 The days of our years are threescore and ten; and if by reason of strength they be

fourscore  years .  Today's life span of a man which is 70 or 80 years.

 4. Fourth: That a Generation is 120 years.

  a. Gen. 6:1-3 . his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Some use this as proof.

F. Question: Could any of these numbers be correct? Yes, all of them. How?

 1. Ex. 1:1-6 And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. According to these

scriptures, a Generation is the life span of a family from the birth of the first born to the

death of the last living survivor of that immediate family. There is reason why a Generation

cannot be numbered, so that the exact day and hour of the coming of the Lord could be

     determined.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 22

The Book of Daniel: Chapter One

A.      Introduction: Daniel was a young Jewish boy, who was taken captive in approx. 605 B.C.  from Jerusalem when Nebuchadnezzar took siege of the city, with Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, who was given the Babylonian names, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.   The book of Daniel is divided into two parts, chapter 1-7 deals with the lives of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah and the Gentile kingdoms. Chapter 8-12 deals with Israel and future events. When Daniel wrote about the Babylonian kingdom, he wrote in the Aramaic language. When he wrote about the Hebrews, he wrote in Hebrew. He was well educated and used the Aramaic and Hebrew languages with ease. Daniel's spiritual credentials were of the highest in so much hat Jesus himself referred to him and his prophecies.

1.        Matt. 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation etc.

2.        Ezekiel 14:12-14 Daniel was name for his righteousness along with Noah and Job.

B.      Verse 1-2  Now let us begin out study of this great book.   God delivers Jehoiakim into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar which occurred about 605 B.C., along with the holy vessels from the house of God. This was done to their shame for their sins.

C.      Verse 3-4  Nebuchadnezzar commands to select certain Jews to serve in his court. This verse indicates that Daniel may have been of royal decent. Also

this was  prophesied by Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, which came to pass 105 years later.

  1.   Isa. 39:1-8  Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, hear the word of the Lord of host.

D.  Verse 5   Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah are put into training and their first test.

E.   Verse 6-7 They are given Babylonian names in reference to Babylonian gods.

1.      Daniel whose name meant God is Judge was given the name Beltehazzar which means Bel's Prince. Bel was a Babylonian god.

2.      Hananiah whose name meant Beloved of the Lord was given the name Shadrach which means Illuminated by the sun god.

3.      Mishael who's name meant Who is as God was given the name Meshach which means Who is like shach.

4.      Azariah whose name meant The Lord is my Help was given the name Abednego which means The servant of Nego which also was a Babylonian god.

F.     Verse 8  Daniel was very young between 15 to 20 years old. He purposed in his heart not to be defiled by the kings meat and the things of Babylon. Perhaps these foods had been offered unto idols or considered by the Jews as unclean.

G.    Verse 9  This is where the Lord knew Daniel's heart, and He gave him favor in the sight of the prince of the eunuchs. The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations. 2nd Peter 2:9

H.  Verse 10  Not all of the Jews refused the kings meat.

B.  Verse 4-7  Nebuchadnezzar dreams yet another dream.

C.  Verse 8-18  Nebuchadnezzar tells Daniel the dream, the dream as Daniel would

interpret is of Nebuchadnezzar and his greatness. His reference to holy watchers

and holy gods is in no way inferring that there's more than one God, we must

remember that Nebuchadnezzar is an idol worshipper and a pagan king,  even

Daniel Chapter Seven: Part Two

A. Daniel 1-8  Read and review. Daniel sees four beast which are four kingdoms, the Lion,

Babylon, the Bear, Medes and Persians, the Leopard, Greece and the Fourth, Rome. He sees

Ten Horns of the fourth beast which is the Kingdom of the Anti-Christ and another Little

Horn come up among them which is the Anti-Christ himself ruling the last world empire.

B. Verse 9-11  The judgment of the antichrist, by the Ancient of days, who is Jesus Christ

Himself as seen by John the Apostle in the book of Revelation.

 1. Rev. 1:10-16 Notice the description here, as in Daniel, they saw the same thing.

 2. Rev. 20:7-10 John sees the same thing here as Daniel saw, the judgment. The Anti-Christ

and the False Prophet being judged after the Tribulation Period and Satan judged after the

Millennium and cast into Hell. Verses 11-15 The judgment of the wicked.

C. Verse 12: Remnants of the other beasts were spared to enter into the Millennium.

D. Verse 13: Daniel sees the Son of Man ( Which is Jesus Christ ) coming to the Ancient of

Days ( Which is God the Father ) This don't mean that there are two Gods, the Son of Man

Is the Flesh ( The Son ) The Ancient of Days is the Spirit ( God the Father ) Explained in:

 1. Rev. 5:1-10 John sees the same thing as Daniel saw. John goes in depth and explains that the

lamb which is Jesus was the only one who was worthy to open the sealed book, and Jesus

opened the book as God not as Man in which he was both. 100 % God and 100 % Man.

E. Verse 14: Daniel is making reference to the Millennium. A 1000 year reign on earth.

 1. Rev. 20:1-10 These verses are the same as verse 14 of Daniel, the Millennium.

F. Verse 15-19 Daniel is shown the interpretation of the four beasts as I have already explained.

G. Verse 20-21 Daniel is shown why this fourth beast is more terrible than all the others. The Ten

 2. Note: This cannot be the Church Saints, why? Matt. 16:18 . and the gates of Hell shall not etc.

H. Verse 22: Daniel sees the Return of the Lord as did John.

 1. Rev. 19:11-15 The Return of the Lord to fight the battle of Armageddon.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 31

     Daniel Chapter Eight

Notes:

In this chapter, the language returns to Hebrew from Aramaic used in Daniel 2:4 through 7:28. From this chapter until the end of the book, Daniel

deals with prophecy. The prophecies from chapters 8 to 12 involve the Gentile nations in their relation to Israel.  For this reason, many

commentator divide the book of Daniel into two halves, Daniel chapters 1 to 6, and 7 to 12, the first half deals with the Gentile nations and the last

half deal with prophecy regarding Israel, some divide into three sections (1, 2-7, 8-12).

In Daniel chapter seven, we saw animals that represented the kingdoms of man.  From God's perspective, the kingdoms of men are beast like

kingdoms, leading to the return of the Lord. Chapter 7 is a complete summary of events from the Babylonian kingdom through the Anti-Christ

kingdom through the Millennium   Chapters 8 through 12 fill the details left out in the seventh chapter or goes into greater detail. The book of

Revelation does the same thing Revelation chapters 1-11 is repeated in chapters 13-20.

A. Verse 1-2  Daniel again is being shown a vision here in chapter 8 that takes place before

Chapter 6, showing that these chapters are not in chronological order.

B. Verse 3  Daniel saw the destruction of Babylon, by the Ram with two horns.

  1. Question: Who is this Ram with two horns? The Medo-Persian Empire.

  2. The first horn is Darius the Mede and the higher horn is Cyrus the Persian.

  3. The Medo-Persian represented by the Arms of Silver, A Bear and A Ram.

C. Verse 4-5 Daniel sees the Ram ( Medo-Persian Kingdom ) attacked by the He Goat which is

The Grecian Kingdom, the notable horn being Alexander the Great. The Grecian Kingdom is

Represented by The Belly and Thighs of Brass, The Leopard, and a He Goat.

E. Verse 6-7  Daniels describes the battle between the Medo-Persian and Grecian Kingdom

as a very bitter battle with a great victory for Alexander the Great.

F. Verse 8  The great horn is broken. (Alexander the Great), but not in battle.

  1. It is believed that he died at the age of 32 of typhoid fever.

  2. The four horns that came up in its place were his four captains who ruled his Kingdom.

G. Verse 9  Daniel here in verse 9 skips from the Grecian Kingdom to the Anti-Christ Kingdom

and goes into great detail of this Little Horn, who is the Anti-Christ.

H. Verse 10  Daniel goes from the realm of the natural to the spiritual and makes a direct

reference to Satan himself as the controlling force behind the Little Horn, The Anti-Christ.

  1. Rev.  12:1-9 John also references this spiritual force. The war in heaven.

I. Verse 11-14  Daniel reveals the evil of the Anti-Christ. The abomination of desolation also

    spoken by Jesus in:

  1. Matt. 24:15-21  The Great Tribulation Period.

J. Verse 15-19  Gabriel is commanded to give Daniel understanding of the vision.

K. Verse 20-27  The vision is explained.

Daniel Chapter Nine

A.    Verse 1: This chapter happened during the time of chapter six.

B.     Verse 2: Daniel makes reference to the seventy years prophesied by Jeremiah the prophet.

  1.  Jer. 25:11-13          Jer. 29:10-14          Jeremiah's prophecy concerning Jerusalem.

C.     Verse 3-19  Daniel's prayer, he makes confession and prays for the deliverance of Jerusalem.

D.    Verse 20-22  Daniel's prayer is answered, and Gabriel is sent to give him understanding.

E.  Verse 23  At the beginning of thy supplications, meaning when he began to pray, the

commandment was given. Witch I think was the beginning of the 490 years.

F.  Verse 24  The prophecy is seventy weeks, which is interpreted to be 490 years, which is

seven years per week, from the going forth of this commandment to the end when the

most holy will be anointed, that would be Jesus when setting up his earthly kingdom.

G.  Verse 25  Details a prophecy concerning the coming of the Messiah,  after 69 weeks

or 483 years from the going forth of this commandment  Messiah would come.

  1.  Question: Was he speaking of the birth of Jesus or when Jesus was presented as Messiah?

   a.  Zech. 9:9  Luke 19:29-44 Most believe that it was his entry into Jerusalem when he was

rejected and crucified at the beginning of the times of the Gentiles.

  2.  The second part of this verse says that after Messiah comes that the street shall be built again,

and the wall even in troublous times speaking of Jerusalem.

   a. Question: When did this happen? It has not happened yet, this will happen in the 70th

week of this prophecy, which is referred to as The Great Tribulation or The Time of Jacob's

Trouble.  Matt. 24:21 and Jer. 30:7

H.  Question: What is the explanation of the space of time between the 69th and the 70th week?

  1.  Luke 21:20-24  The Times of the Gentiles. A space of time that was not included into this

       Prophecy by Daniel.

  2.  Romans 11:25-29  ... blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fulness of the

       Gentiles be come in.

I.  Verse 26  Daniel says that after Messiah comes that he would be cut off, some believe this

to be making reference to his crucifixion others believe that when he turned from the Jews to

the Gentiles in Acts chapter 10, but anyway there is 49 years left of the 483 years,

that Messiah would be cut off,  to the end of the 69 weeks prophecy, others believe that it

took the remaining years before Titus destroyed Jerusalem and the temple in 70 A.D.

J.  Verse 27  Daniel is clearly describing the 70th week of this prophecy. He is making reference

to the antichrist and the abomination of desolation spoken of by Jesus which has not happened.

  1.  Matt. 24:15-21  When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by

       Daniel the prophet.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 33

Daniel Chapter Ten

A. Verse 1-21  Daniel Chapter 10 is an introduction to Daniel's fourth and final vision.

This vision spans from chapter 10 - 12. Daniel is believed to be in his 80's at this time.

 1. Note: Read and Explain:

 2. Point One: Daniel is now in his mid 80's at the closing of Jeremiah's Prophecy, during the

     Medo-Persian Kingdom.

 3. Point Two: The man that appears to Daniel in verse 5-6 is not Jesus or a Theophany of God it

is an angel, because in verse 11 this man refers to himself as being sent as a messenger and in

verse 13 he requires help from Michael, if this was God or an incarnate Jesus he would need

no help. Even though this description is very similar to that of Jesus in Rev. 1:13-15.

 4. Point Three: Verse 16: Implies that there is a second angel that that comes to Daniel.

 5. Point Four: Verse 18: Implies that there is another angel that comes to Daniel. I think that

that these angels are not three separate angels, but the angel Gabriel himself.

 6. Point Five: Question: What is being taught here? That there is a spiritual realm of warfare

concerning the nation of Israel. Satan wants to destroy this nation. Why? Because they are

the Elect of God, the covenant people of Abraham through Issac that will produce the Messiah

who will destroy once and for all Satan and his kingdom at the time appointed. This battle

began in the Garden of Eden with the serpent and the woman and is still going on today.

 7. Question: Who is this prince of the kingdom of Persia? Lucifer the fallen anointed Cherub

who also is called Satan, the devil, who is at this time fighting for his life.( Eternal Life )

     Trying to destroy Israel.

a. Ezekiel 28:1-19  He is referred to here as Prince of Tyrus and the King of Tyrus so it is not

strange that he is referred to as the Prince of Persia or the Prince of Grecia.

 8. Question: Does spiritual warfare go on today with the Church? Yes...

    a. Ephesians 6:10-18  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood .

    b. Note: As Michael was appointed Guardian Angel or protector of the Nation of Israel,

there has been angels appointed as protectors of the Church today.

    c. Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up the great prince which standeth .

    d. Ps. 34:7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about  them that fear him, and delivereth

        them.

Daniel Chapter Eleven

A. Daniel 11:1-4 These verses begin with the Angel speaking of his divine intervention in the

affairs of earthly kingdoms and he tells Daniel that he is going to reveal unto him the truth of

these matters. He says to Daniel that there shall arise four kings of Persia, including Darius.

And that the fourth shall be the greatest of the four and shall make war with Grecia, but the

King of Grecia which is Alexander the Great, referred to here as The Mighty King shall arise

and prevail, yet he shall fall and his kingdom will be divided into four kingdoms.

B. Verse 5-20 Daniel is shown in these verses the coming war between two of these four

kingdoms, the North and the South, South being Egypt and the North believed to be Syria.

C. Verse 21-45 Time advances more than two thousand years to the time of the end, The

Kingdom of the Antichrist.  Let us read these scriptures and then explain why I believe

that these verses is referring to the Antichrist and his kingdom of the end time.

1. First Reason: This Vile Person is a descendant of that Northern Kingdom of Syria.

 a. Isa. 10:24 The Antichrist is called the Assyrian.

2. Second: Verse 24 The Antichrist comes in on a Peace Platform.

 a. Rev. 6:2 A crown was given him .

3. Thrid: Verse 29-31 Is referring to the Abomination of Desolation referred to by Jesus in:

 a. Matt. 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the Abomination of Desolation .

4. Fourth: Verse 32-35 Is making a reference to a special group of people that will instruct .

 a. Rev. 7:1-4 This 144,000 is believed to be that special group of people spoken of by Daniel.

5. Fifth: Verse 36-37 This king exalts himself above God. Paul makes the same reference in:

a.       2nd Thes. 2:1-4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God.

6. Sixth: Verse 41-45 Is the battle of Armageddon, also spoken of in:

 a. Rev. 16:12-16 . a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 35

Daniel Chapter Twelve

A.  Verse 1  Michael is the Archangel that stands for the children of Israel.

  1.  Question: What is this time of trouble Daniel is referring to?

   a.  Matt.  24:15-21  The Great Tribulation Period...

   b.  Jere. 30:4-7  The time of Jacob's Trouble...

B.  Verse 2  Is making reference to the first and second resurrection as one resurrection.

  1.  Question: Is there going to be one general resurrection? No .

   a. Rev. 20:4-6 There will be two resurrections, the first which will be in two phases, phase

one at the Rapture, phase two at the end of Tribulation. The second resurrection will take

place at the end of the Millennium, the resurrection of the wicked.

  2.  Question:  Why didn't Daniel separate the two resurrections?

Because the Times of the Gentiles was not included into his prophecy of the 70 weeks.

C.  Verse 3  Is saying that those that win souls are wise.

  1.  Pro. 11:30  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

D.  Verse 4 Reveals two things...

  1.  First: That this prophecy is for a time appointed.

  2.  Second: One of the greatest signs of the End-Time is revealed, which is the advancement or

       increasing of knowledge.

E.  Verse 5-7  Daniel hears a conversation between three angels concerning the end.

F.  Verse 8-9  Daniel is told that words of this prophecy is closed up  and sealed  till the

       time of the end.

G.  Verse 10-12 The angel gives the prophecy but not the understanding of it.

  1.  What is the mystery of the 1290 days ? Which is 30 days longer than the 1260 days.

  2.  What is the mystery of the 1335 days ? Which is 45 days longer than the 1290 days.

All that we know about these two dates is that these two events will take place in the

millennium, because when the daily sacrifice is taken away, is 1260 days which is 3 1/2 years

into the Tribulation, there is only 1260 days left of the Tribulation Period, so this first event

happens 30 days after the Tribulation Period and the second event happens 45 days after that,

       a total of 75 days.

H.  Verse 13  The angel tells Daniel to go his way, that his life will have ended before these

things come to pass, and not to worry he will be justly judged at the end of the days.

  3. A. Acts 15:1-14 " Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take
  4.       out of them a people for his name. "  James refers to Peter as Simeon, at the first means, Peter
  5.       was the first to go to the Gentiles. Why? Because he had the keys to the kingdom.
  6.  1.  Question: When did this happen?
  7.   a. Acts 10:25-43 When Simon Peter was sent unto the household of Cornelius.
  8.  2. Question: Did he indeed go unto the Jews first? Yes .
  9.   a. John 1:11-12 He came unto his own .

  12.       the tabernacle of David which is fallen down and I will build again the ruins thereof and I will
  13.       set it up.
  14.  1.  Note: After What? The Times of the Gentiles. He will return and build again the Tabernacle of David.

  23.  1. Luke 21:20-24 . until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
  24.  2. Note: Jesus was warning Israel that Jerusalem will remain in control of the Gentiles until the Times
  25.      of the Gentiles be fulfilled. Now, Jerusalem remained in the control of Gentiles until the six day
  26.      war in 1967 when Israel took back control of Jerusalem. On June 5th the Israeli Air Force attacked
  27.      Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq's Air Forces and in 2 hours time, destroyed most of their planes while
  28.      their Pilots were eating breakfast and after six days had taken back control of Jerusalem.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 38
Matthew Chapter 24
Part One:
A.    We want to Study this chapter in two lights, first, signs of the times concerning the Church dispensation, concluding with the Rapture,
understanding that this chapter is primarily direct to the nation of Israel and the Great Tribulation Period.
B.    Verse 1-2 Jesus is speaking of the destruction of the temple, the question is, was he speaking of the destruction of the temple in 70 A. D.
as many believe or its destruction in the end time? We will study this point next week in part two.
C.    Verse 3  Jesus is clearly making reference to the end of the world. The word world can be interpreted Age or World, if he means World, it
would be the World as we know it.
D.    Verse 4-5  is making reference to a great movement of false religion. As a sign to the Church, he is warning of false doctrine, as did
       Apostle Paul in:
1. 1st. Tim. 4:1-3 . a departing from the faith.
2. 2nd Tim. 4:1-5 . For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.
E.     Verse 6 is making reference to wars in the time of the end.
F.     Verse 7  . famines, pestilence's, and earthquakes in divers places.

Bible Prophecy: Study # 39

Matthew Chapter 24

Part Two:

A.    Verse 1-2  Jesus prophesies of the destruction of the temple. The question is, was he speaking of the destruction of the temple in 70 A. D., or of its destruction in the end time, in the Great Tribulation Period?

1.      Note: It is true that the temple was destroyed in 70 A. D. by Titus and many prophecy teachers believe that this was the fulfillment of that

prophecy, however the context of the teaching in this chapter is the end time, not 70 A. D.

B.    Verse 3  Gives us a clue of the time period that Jesus is making reference to by the question the disciples ask him: what shall be the sign of thy

coming and the end of the world? The context before the question, " what was the sign of the end ", was the destruction of the Temple.

1.      Daniel 9:24-27 Daniel is clearly making a reference to the destruction of the sanctuary in the seventh week of his prophecy, which is the Great Tribulation. Both Jesus and Daniel are prophesying of the end, not 70 AD.

  2.  Now to explain the signs that Jesus gives to Israel and how they correlate to the Seals of Rev. 6

    a.  Verse 4-5: is making reference to the White Horse of Rev. 6:2, the Antichrist, the first seal.

    b.  Verse 6: is making reference to the Red Horse of Rev. 6:4, Wars, the second seal.

    c.  Verse 7: is making reference to the Black Horse of Rev. 6:5, Famines, the third seal.

    d.  Verse 7: is also making reference to the Pale Horse of Rev. 6:8, Pestilences, the fourth seal.

    e.  Verse 8: All these are the beginning of sorrows.

   f.  Verse 9:  is making reference to the fifth seal, Rev. 6:9, Many shall be killed.

C. Verse 10-13: . endure to the end: This statement to both the Church and Israel.

D.  Verse 14: This gospel of the kingdom has already been preached to all the world at Pentecost.

 1.   Titus 2:16: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.

E.  Verse 15-28  Jesus makes references to Daniel's prophecy as to John's prophecy and the things that

will be going on during the Great Tribulation Period.

F.  Verse 29:  is making reference to Seals Six and Seven of Rev. 6:12-17 & Chapter 8:

G. Verse 30-31 The Return of the Lord.

H. Verse 32-51 Jesus gives added signs to reveal the generation of his Return.

" Bible Prophecy Study # 40  ... The Coming of the Lord "

The Rapture - Part 1

A. Question: What is meant by the term Rapture? In religious teachings, it means the catching away of the

Bride, the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ. Since the word Rapture is not in the Bible, there is no Greek

or Hebrew words for Rapture.  Rapture comes from the Latin word Rapio which means: To be seized by

Force, Caught, Taken: Even though the word Rapture is not found in the Bible, its definition is and we

      will study those definitions.

 1. Note: The word Resurrection is not found in the Old Testament, but its definition is, and to deny

that a resurrection took place in the Old Testament is to deny a raising of the dead, which is what

resurrection means. So we cannot disregard Rapture on the bases that the word itself does not appear

in scripture, as long as we can find the evidence of it happening or going to happen.

B. First Question: Did Rapture ever occur in scripture before? Yes .

 1.  Gen. 5:21-24 . And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

  a. Note: The difference between this Rapture and the next one is, that only one person was Raptured here

and in the Rapture of the Church millions will be Raptured.

C. Question: Was Elijah Raptured? No, not in the traditional sense of a Secret Catching Away.

 1. 2nd Kings 2:9-12 . and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Elijah is symbolic of Israel as

Enoch is symbolic of the Church. Enoch's leaving was secret; he vanished into thin air so to speak. Elijah

was taken up by a chariot and his leaving wasn't secret, Elisha saw him taken, which represents the

redemption of Israel at the end of the Great Tribulation Period. Now, understand that in a sense, by the

English and Latin definition, he was Rapture, but not in the Biblical sense of a secret catching away.

D. Now to study at least Eight scriptural definitions of the word Rapture in the Bible.

 1. # 1: Gen. 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. The first scriptural

definition of Rapture according to Moses is: " God Took Him "

 2. # 2: Isa. 26:19-21 Come my people, enter thou into thy chambers . The second scriptural definition

     of Rapture.

 3. # 3: Job 14:12-15 If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait til my

change come. The Third scriptural definition of Rapture.

 4. # 4: Heb. 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated . The Fourth scriptural definition of Rapture.

 5. # 5: 1st Cor, 15:51-52 . and we shall be changed.  The Fifth scriptural definition of Rapture.

 6. # 6: 1st Thes. 4:13-18 . shall be caught up. The Sixth scriptural definition of Rapture.

 7. # 7: 2nd Thes. 2:1 . and by our gathering together unto him.  The Seventh definition of Rapture.

 8. # 8: Rev. 3:7-13 . from the hour of temptation.  The Eighth definition of Rapture.

E. Note: The English definition for Rapture is: The transporting of a person from one place to another,

     especially to heaven.

Bible Prophecy Study # 41  ...  The Coming of the Lord:

The Rapture - Part 2 - A Pre-Trib. Rapture

A. First, a brief review of last week's study: We studied in scripture last week, eight Bible definitions of

the word Rapture even though the word Rapture itself does not appear in the Bible, its meaning does. Now,

this week's study is to show in scripture that the Rapture of the Church will occur immediately before the

seven years of Great Tribulation begins. There are three teaching on this subject of the Rapture, which are:

The Pre-Trib teaching, the Mid-Trib, teaching and the Post-Trib teaching, which means, The Pre-Tribulation

is that the Rapture will occur before the Great Tribulation begins, Mid-Trib. teaches that the Rapture will

occur in the middle of the Tribulation, and the Post-Trib teaches that it will occur at the end of Tribulation.

B. Now, to explain the danger of the Mid-Trib. And the Post-Trib doctrines. These doctrines teach that the Anti-

Christ will be revealed before the Church is Raptured, which is a great error and a false teaching. What this

teaching does, it has people looking for the appearing of the Anti-Christ and his mark 666 instead of looking

for Jesus Christ, it will even cause some people to say, well, I will wait until the Anti-Christ and the mark of

the beast comes and then I will repent, the danger is, when the Anti-Christ comes it will be too late for Gentiles

C. Now into tonight's study, showing that the Rapture will be a Pre-Tribulation Period. To do this we must show

who the Great Tribulation Period is intended for.

 1. Jere. 30:1-10 This prophecy is directed to Judah and Israel, the time of Jacob's Trouble.

  a. Gen. 32:28  And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power

with God and with men, and hast prevailed.     Jacob is Israel, it's the time of Israel's Trouble, not Gentiles.

 2. Dan. 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people, and upon thy holy city .

  a. Note: The term Thy People is referring to Israel and the term Holy City is referring to Jerusalem.

 3. Romans 11:25-27 . blindness in part is happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.

  a. Note: Israel has been blinded, from the time of their blindness, until the Rapture of the Church, is the Times

of the Gentles, or the opportunity for Gentile Nations to be saved. These three writers all agree that the seven

years of Great Tribulation is determined upon the nation of Israel and not Gentile Nations.

D. Now to show that the Great Tribulation Period is a time of Wrath being poured out upon the earth.

 1. Dan. 12:1 . a time of Trouble.     Matt. 24:21 . nor ever shall be.

 2. Rev. 6:12-17 . the great day of his wrath is come. This is the opening of the sixth seal which begins the out

pouring of the wrath of God upon the earth, in the mist of the Great Tribulation Period.

 3. 1Thes. 5:1-11 For God hath not appointed us to wrath .     Rev. 3:10 . I also will keep thee from .

E. Question: Does the Bible say that the Church will be here or gone at the time of the Anti-Christ.

 1. 2nd Thes. 2:1-12 Paul is teaching that the Anti-Christ cannot be revealed until the Church is gone.

  a. Verses 6-8 Clearly teach that he cannot be revealed until the Spirit is gone.

F. Now to explain briefly the book of Revelation and where the Church is at this time:

Revelation is a book written of things Past, Present, and Future. Chapter one, things past, chapters 2 & 3, things present, which is where

the Church is now. Verses 1 & 2 of chapter 4 is the Rapture, the remaining verses in chapter 4 and chapter 5, John which represents the Church is

Caught up into Heaven and is shown things that are to happen on earth thereafter.

The first thing that happens on Earth after the Rapture is the revelation of the Anti- Christ in chapter 6, verse 2. and the beginning of the

Great Tribulation Period. From chapter 6 through chapter 11 is the Great Tribulation Period, including the wrath of God being poured out.

Chapter 12 through 19 is a repeat of chapters 6-11 in greater detail. Chapter 20:1-10 is the 1,000 years, verses 11-15 is the Great White Throne Judgment.

Chapters 21 & 22 is the New Heavens and New Earth.

Next week we will study a verse by verse comparison of the Secret Rapture and the Open Return of the Lord, showing that they are two separate comings.

" Bible Prophecy Study # 42  ... The Coming of the Lord:

The Rapture - Part 3 - The Return

A. First, a brief review of our last two studies: We studied in The Rapture: Part One, eight Bible definitions of

word Rapture even though the word Rapture itself does not appear in the Bible, its meaning does. Now,

our last Bible Study we proved in scripture that the Rapture of the Church will occur immediately before the

seven years of Great Tribulation and the Church was not appointed unto wrath, but to escape.

B. In this study we want to show, that the Lord is coming back not once, but twice, first to Rapture the Church,

and then he will Return to Earth to fight the Battle of Armageddon and redeem Israel. The bases of the Post

and Mid Tribulation doctrines is, that the Lord is only Coming back once to gather all his people and if we

can show in scripture that the Lord is indeed coming back twice then it will prove those doctrines wrong.

C. Now, let us compare the two Comings of the Lord.

 1. First: Let us show that there is a Secret Coming ( The Rapture ) and a Revealed Coming ( The Return )

  a. Heb. 9:28  So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall

he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. The World is not looking for him, only the Church,

so this Coming will be a Secret Coming and only to those that are looking for him will see him.

  b. 1st Cor. 15:51-58 This Coming of the Lord is clearly a Coming for the Saints, not the World and judgment.

D. Second: In the Rapture he is Coming in the Air and will never touch the Earth.

 1. 1st Thes. 4:13-18  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

  a. Note: It is clear that the Coming of the Lord here is not openly to the world and he appears in the Air and not

on Earth and the Church is Caught Up to meet the Lord in the Air.

  b. Rev. 4:1-2 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I

heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee

things which must be hereafter. Verse 2: And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set

in heaven, and one sat on the throne.  Again, it is illustrated here that this Coming is in the Air not on earth.

  c. Note: It is clear that in these four passages of scripture, showing that the Coming of the Lord, is Secret to

the World and that it takes place in the Air not on Earth.

E. Now let us study the Return of the Lord to the Earth.

 1. Zech. 14:1-5  And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives etc. In this Coming the lord is

Coming back to Earth, to the mount of Olives.

  a. Note: Verse 5 says, that when he Comes here, he is not alone, Saints are with him, Raptured Saints.

 2. Jude 1:14-15  Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints: Again Raptured Saints.

 3. Rev. 19:11-16  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses: Again Raptured Saints.

 4. Acts 1:9-12  Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet,

F. Question: Who will see the Lord at his Return?

 1. Rev. 1:7-8  Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him . Nothing secret about this Coming.

G. Question: What is the Post Tribulation teacher's favorite scripture?

 1. Matt. 24:27-31  Immediately after the tribulation of those days . It is clear that the teaching here by Jesus is

to warn Israel and the World of his Return after the Great Tribulation Period, in which he will pour out his

wrath on the Earth and every eye shall see him. He will at this time Return with his Raptured Saints, fight the

battle of Armageddon and redeem Israel, and then will end the Time of Jacob's Trouble.
